Skin of a shell or of a cell

The material and the thickness of the skin (materialDefinitionType).

For a composite, the positive z direction of the layers runs from the outside of the wing inwards, and the orthotropy direction is measured from the straight line through the leading edge points of the first and the last element of the component segment — the same direction from which the angle of the stringers is measured (see wingStringerType).
