wingComponentSegmentStructureType

The structure of a wing is defined per component segment, and everything in it is positioned on the chord surface of that component segment (componentSegmentType), in the relative coordinates η and ξ or by reference to a spar or a rib.

spars run along the span through spar positions on the chord surface (wingSparType).
ribsDefinitions stand across the wing, spaced along a reference line or placed one by one (wingRibsDefinitionsType).
upperShell and lowerShell are the outer surface above and below the chord surface, with their skin, their stringers and the cells that give a region properties of its own (wingShellType).
intermediateStructure fills the space between the two shells where a wing has no hollow box (wingIntermediateStructureCellType).
wingCutOuts take the skin away where the wing needs an opening (wingCutOutType).
