wingComponentSegmentStructureType

The structure of a wing is defined per component segment, and everything in it is positioned on the chord surface of that component segment (componentSegmentType), in the relative coordinates η and ξ or by reference to a spar or a rib.

<spars> run along the span through spar positions on the chord surface (wingSparType).
<ribsDefinitions> stand across the wing, spaced along a reference line or placed one by one (wingRibsDefinitionsType).
<upperShell> and <lowerShell> are the outer surface above and below the chord surface, with their skin, their stringers and the cells that give a region properties of its own (wingShellType).
<intermediateStructure> fills the space between the two shells where a wing has no hollow box (wingIntermediateStructureCellType).
<wingCutOuts> take the skin away where the wing needs an opening (wingCutOutType).
