Structural profiles

Cross sections of structural parts. A two-dimensional profile (structuralProfile2D) consists of points in a plane that are connected by sheets. It is referenced by profile-based structural elements (profileBasedStructuralElementType), whose cross section is swept along the path of e.g. stringers, frames, cross beams and floor beams. Structural profiles are also referenced by pylon structures and by the cut-out profiles of control surfaces. A three-dimensional profile (structuralProfile3D) consists of points in space and of sheets spanned by at least three of these points.
