skinType

The skin is the surface of the fuselage as a structural part. Its sheet, i.e. its material and thickness, is the sheet-based structural element <standardSheetElementUID>, except where a skin panel gives a part of the skin a sheet of its own (skinSegmentType). The same type describes the skin of a duct and a layer of the wall of a vessel (vesselSkinLayersType).

Example

The skin of the barrel shown in fuselageStructureType has a standard sheet of 1.6 mm and three panels; the excerpt shows the panel across the top, 1.8 mm thick:
