controlSurfaceSkinCutOutType

xsiInnerBorder and xsiOuterBorder are the relative chordwise coordinates of the component segment at which the cut of the cut-out meets this surface of the wing, at the inner and at the outer border of the cut-out. The upper and the lower surface can be cut at different positions, so that the cut is slanted.

sparUID puts the cut on a spar instead: it then runs where the mid surface of the spar meets this surface of the wing, over the whole span of the cut-out.

Sections at the inner borders of two control surfaces with the part of the wing that their cut-out removes: (a) a flap whose cut-out is cut straight between the upper skin at xsiInnerBorder 0.68 and the lower skin at 0.64, ahead of the leading edge of the flap; (b) a slat whose cut-out runs from the upper skin at xsiInnerBorder 0.17 through the control point at xsi 0.06 and relHeight 0.45 to the lower skin at 0.14, so that the wing keeps a nose inside the hollow rear side of the slat

The figure shows the sections at the inner borders of the flap and the slat of the example in controlSurfacesType with their cut-outs. The flap is cut straight between the two points on the surface of the wing; the cut of the slat runs through a control point (cutOutControlPointType), so that the wing keeps a nose inside the hollow rear side of the slat.
