Center fuselage area

The center fuselage area is the region where the wing box and the bay of the main landing gear interrupt the structure of the fuselage, and where the loads of the wing enter it. It is described by references to frames, stringers, pressure bulkheads and structural elements; a structural model, e.g. a finite element model, generates its parts from them.

Options

The area is described in one of three ways: as a simple area, the cut-out of the wing box in the shell with rigid edges, e.g. for the analysis of a standard section of the fuselage; as the detailed area of a low-wing aircraft (centerFuselageLowWingConfigurationType); or as the detailed area of a high-wing aircraft (centerFuselageHighWingConfigurationType), a draft definition. The simple area extends along the fuselage from the frame <startFrameUID> to the frame <endFrameUID>, and around it from the stringer <startStringerUID> in the direction of increasing <referenceAngle> to the stringer <endStringerUID>, as a skin panel does (skinSegmentType).
