Remarks

This node provides a library of predefined explicit system elements at vehicle level. It contains a selected set of dedicated element classes such as electricMotors or heatExchangers.

All predefined elements follow the same basic principle: they are based on common base definitions describing geometry and mass properties. This includes, for example, a geometric representation by simple primitive shapes or external CAD-based geometry, as well as mass-related information such as mass, center of gravity, inertia, density, or geometry representation. On top of these common base definitions, each explicit element type may introduce dedicated extension nodes for component-specific data, such as performance maps, electrical or thermodynamic properties, or further physical characteristics.

The elements defined here are only predefined. They become physically instantiated only when they are referenced, for example via systemElementUID, by components in an aircraft or rotorcraft genericSystem definition.
