torusType

The torus is defined in its own coordinate system, centered at the origin, with its axis along the z-axis. The center line of the tube is a circle of radius <majorRadius> in the plane z = 0, and the tube has the radius <minorRadius>.

<revolutionAngle> limits the torus to a sector about the z-axis, starting at the x-axis and turning towards the y-axis; without it the torus is complete. Unlike the other angles in CPACS, which are given in degrees, <revolutionAngle> is given in radians; it lies between 0, excluded, and 2π.

Figure (a) shows the complete torus in its coordinate system. Figure (b) shows a sector with a revolution angle of π, the half on the side of the positive y-axis; its end face in the x-z plane shows the two radii.
