Generic mechanical elements

This container defines generic mechanical system elements. It can be used for mechanical components whose detailed element class is not yet known or not represented by one of the predefined specialized mechanical element types.

It should be used when the element is modeled as part of a mechanical system, but no more specific predefined mechanical element type is applicable.
