intercostalPositionType

An intercostal is a short profile between two frames at a door, e.g. the sill or the header beam that takes up the loads of the stringers interrupted by the opening.

Position

The intercostal runs on the shell from the frame <frontFrameUID> to the frame <rearFrameUID>. Its height is given relative to the door <doorUID> (doorAssemblyPositionType): <positionRelZ> = 0 is the height of the lower and 1 the height of the upper of the two stringers that bound the door, and values in between are interpolated linearly in z. The profile of the element <structuralElementUID> is swept along it; how the profile is oriented is not specified yet.

Example

The sill and the header beam of the forward cargo door of the example: the stringers that bound the door lie at z = −1.386 m and −0.414 m, the lower and the upper edge of the cut-out at z = −1.249 m and −0.703 m:
