End of a connection
One end of a connection, given in one of four ways:
<componentUID> references a part of the model by its @uID. This can be a system component, but also any other part with a @uID, e.g. a fuselage, a wing, a fuel tank or an engine.
<externalElement> names an element outside the model that the system exchanges with: the ambient or the passengers.
<ataChapter> names a system that is only known by its ATA chapter.
<systemArchitectureUID> references another system architecture as a whole.
Parts of a component
<componentUID> names an instance, i.e. a component as installed at one place. <subComponentUID> identifies a part within that instance; several of them form the path from the component inwards to the part. The distinction matters where a definition is installed more than once: if an engine contains a fan and is installed twice, only the pair of the engine installation (<componentUID>) and the fan (<subComponentUID>) says which fan the connection is attached to.
